HOW TO GET TO LIVIGNO

INFORMATION PASSES

  • PASSO FOSCAGNO (2291m): open all year, 24/7. Chains on board mandatory from October to April.
  • PASSO FORCOLA (2315m): open only during the summer season, 24/7. During autumn, possible limitation in time
  • TUNNEL “MUNT LA SCHERA” (3,5km): open all year, 24h. Alternating one-way traffic with toll (max height 3.60m - max width 2.50m). During the winter season, Saturday opening hours are subject to change.
  • VEREINA TUNNEL: Railway tunnel with car transport in the Klosters/Sagliains section (under the Fluela Pass). Travel time: 18 minutes.

Coming from Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria

Road passable all year round:
  • form Milano S.S. 36 to Lecco – continue to Colico S.S. 38 direction Sondrio - Tirano - Bormio S.S. 301 Passo Foscagno - Trepalle - Livigno.

Roads passable only during summer:
  • S.S. 36 to Lecco – continue to Colico S.S. 38 Sondrio, Tirano – enter Switzweland - Poschiavo - Passo Forcola - Livigno.
  • S.S. 36 for Lecco – continue to Colico Chiavenna S.S. 37 – enter Switzerland - Passo Maloja - St. Moritz - Passo Bernina - Passo Forcola Livigno.
Arrivando da Triveneto, Emilia, Centro e Sud Italia

Strada percorribile tutto l’anno:

  • From Milan (year-round connection):
    Train from Milan to Tirano with connecting bus from Tirano to Livigno (change in Bormio).
  • From Tirano (connection valid only during the summer):
    Rhaetian Railway train connecting Tirano with Diavolezza, from here bus connection to Livigno.
  • From northern Europe (year-round connection):
    Train to Zernez (CH) and bus or cab to Livigno.
